1 large pkg of mushroom caps
1 cup of mayo
4 oz cream cheese
2 or 3 TBSP of real bacon bits (I use jared or canned bits)
Mix last 3 ingredients. Remove stems & clean mushroom. Shake off excess water. Fill with mixture and put on cookie sheet bake 15-25 minutes or until slightly brown on top. I like them best warm. But we will munch on what is left. I add a little salt & pepper after cooking. Yummy as an appetizer or a side dish.
Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms
1 large pkg. of mushroom caps
6 oz cream cheese
1 lb. Sausage (breakfast)
Brown and drain sausage. Combine cream cheese with sausage. Remove stems & clean mushroom. Shake off excess water. Fill mushrooms with mixture and top each mushroom with provolone cheese, put on cookie sheet bake at 400 degrees for 15-25 minutes or until slightly brown on top.
